i've had the odd dog barking at me although even my bike gear seems to prompt a response sometimes.
once local beefy labrador tolerates me when i am in my normal clothes but if i'm wearing my helmet he goes for me....the owner has to drag him down the street away from me, really hope the daft mutt doesn't get loose one day! |

Mine just jumps around in the air behind the bike, trying to bite the exhaust gas. Get the occasional dog go daft, but they are usually on a lead. In Mexico they all go daft and they are just roaming the streets, crack the throttle open and outrun them, or get knocked off by a suicidal dog.

I got my first go on a supa-scooter round at a mates lock up.
He did not tell me his lesbian Bearded Collie liked to try and bite the front tyre of motos as soon as you get going (and that she humped yer leg if you were wearing black troos!?) Cue me snaking down the road like a total noob trying not to run over the dog. Much to the amusement of my mate. Mental. RIP Kizzy. (Natural causes by the way, not death by poof chariot.) |

Yeah, I get it a lot.
Funny thing is that my dog goes nuts at any two-strokers!! He couldn't give a s..t about anything else and gets ectsatic when he hears a parallel or v twin (sound like my bikes). |

I get that a lot too. Around here, there's lots and lots of packs of stray dogs. Cars just don't kill'em fast enough, i guess. And no one else will try to do anything in order to keep the dog population under control...
So, you get lots of chances to practice your animal avoidance skills. Usually it's a play of the throttle to get away unscathed, but sometimes more is required... I have noticed that they mostly go for the front wheel as it goes round and round and round and woof woof woof!!! The trouble is when you're just getting to the bike and there's a pack of dogs around it. They will bark at you when you try to approach it, then, if somehow you get them to back off, they'll block your path and try to bite anything.. They're very aggressive!!! ![]() The kids don't behave any differently from other places. They'll wave, make faces at you and generally be amusing and I like to respond to that... However, I've had some dumb f**ks throw rocks at me!! Now there's some avoidance skills you need to keep sharp... |
