optimate for me too. £4 for a replacment permenant lead isn't to bad either if you have more than one bike... or forget to take it off your old one.

Been looking in to something to fill this gadgetry hole since my standard battery charger has gone walkabout. Ctek XS 4003 is probably the little monkey I'm going to plump for, as it seems to tick a whole load of boxes.

have a couple of optimate 3's that seem to do the trick, one has been working every winter for 10 years no problem.
Only thing I will mention is that the optimate will flatten your battery if connected but not plugged in.

A bunch of reasonable products already mentioned.

All of my batteries are on a tender when not in use and I am happy with the Deltran Battery Tender. The 3/4A Junior or Waterproof 800 are more than up to the task of looking after a MC battery or much larger.

Thanks to all.

Battery turned up a couple of days ago. The Optimate an hour ago. Acid in, left for half an hour, bungs in. The battery showed 12.84v on the trusty multimeter. Optimiser on and connected and now doing it's job. I did put the old battery back on the bike and it started it but I still think money well spent.

Cheers.
