Take the GSXR750K6, seeing that appears to tick the boxes

3K on the clock £5k

or a CBR900RR2 6,100 miles £4k

That's not a K6 GSXR!!!

And £4K for an 8 year old bike? you must be tripping. I wouldn't buy anything older than 3 or 4 yrs for that.

Sad thing is Stu the 900 Blades are collector pieces now! There is two 900's forsale at dealers in Newcastle, Mint condition, low miles both are listed at £3,200.

I claim insanity with the model changes Post SRAD with the gsxr's

Excellent! Glad I've just bought one for £2K less than you've found

Would like a bike that is primarily sporty, but capable of sports touring, such as 955i, but perhaps a tad smaller.
Me - 1.8m, that's 5'11", 75kg, 12 stone
Thought of another type of Daytona? I can think of one that's a tad smaller

675cc too much?

Ta-Daaaa!!!!!

You should consider a 675 (even if not mine) as it ticks all the boxes. It will fit you fine, it's sporty, and yes I've been around France on it. You have to travel light but it's do-able.

Why don't you go sit on one in the dealer, see how it feels?

With insurance money payout (her fault, so I keep No-claims), etc, should be able to budget for £4000 - £4500 (inc. Fully comp. ins too!).
Preferably a bike under 10k miles, but if a particular beasty is good with a few more then ok!

Considered a Daytone 955i...

Please, discuss...
Either my KTM 950

http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=160581

or a GSXR 750 k6/7.
