You know it could well be my age but the retro/classic/traditional looking bikes are beginning to have much more appeal to me. I dont compare them with the latest all singing and dancing models, but rather view them as the genre of bikes they are.

They are not the fastest, best handling, most comfy etc. etc. It's more a connection with the roots of motrcycling which can be embraced and appreciated when your mindset is open to them.

My last bike was as some will remember a Ducati 749S which I loved more than any I have ever owned. Yet a short time ago I borrowed a Harley Road King which surprised/ impressed me more than I would ever have imagined. It's a different kind of biking, but you know...in it's way just as enjoyable.

There is an interesting option being put to me regarding a Road King which I am to consider strongly.......watch this space.

P.S. No I will not be falling in to the "harley" culture, I will be enjoying th ebike my way and nothing more.

P.P.S.

I also do like the new Bonnie's also.(I guess there is no hope for me at all!)

The irony being is it tends to be te old fella with bad knees and backs that like these thing.

I would love a custom chopper with a HUGE rear wheel. I'll have one, one day
