I think the entire thing has been blow outta proportion a bit, but I do think that if he has been pulled up about it before then, yeah, he's an idiot and he deserved it.

PS...I don't know the offside rule...but then, I play rugby!! lol!

It's a damn shame they've sacked Gray. I tune in every match day and think his punditry is fantastic. Whereas on the opposite end of the scale i can't stand Richard Keys or Jamie Redknapp for that matter. They've sacked Gray, but does anyone not remember this from Keys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axISAvjgX9I

Gray, Kammy and Stelling by far are leaders of the skysports scene for me, so it's a shame to see one gone. However if they ever want to get rid of Redknapp, Phil Thompson or Keys i'd be more than happy. Matt.

Not a gray fan as I said earlier, but he's been with sky bloody years so to drop him just like that sucks IMO.
Public apology, fined a months salary would have been enough IMO .

Why would I want to know about a rule to a game I dont watch or follow or have any interest in?

In regards to the sacking, yes, he is a professional he had been given a warning regarding this exact behaviour and he repeated it.

if i walked into my place of work and made inappropriate or disparaging remarks about a female colleague or questioned her competance based purely on the grounds that she was female. I would get a rollocking for it.

If I did it again then I'd be in a heap of trouble. Especially after having a warning already.

He behaved unprofessionally in his place of work and paid the ultimate price for it. I.e. he got the sack. Why is football or sports commentary any different in that respect.

Yep - the right result. Get some one with a more upto date approach and attitude to life - nobody (especially in a public forum)should be above the rules or so important that they can't be 'moved on'(there will of course always be certain special exceptional circumstances - a footy pundit isn't one of them)

Firstly I agree with those that say Andy Gray is **** or whatever....he is. No question. £1.7M jeez, good riddance.
Second, I do watch loose women, and they say similar, it's true but thats supposed to all part of the fun...I guess?
Thirdly Richard Keys is the hairiest man on television, have you looked at his hands, monkey man or what. Surely a case of too much hormone which much occasionally take control of his mouth and judgement brain functions. Perhaps he could present Monkey Watch with monkey girl Michaela Strachan?

Keys is at it too. Some kind of planned effort to get rid of them?
