I guess my point is that a de-baffled exhaust sounds like your bike should be putting down twice the bhp it actually is hence: its a bit silly (like the Saxo analogy).

Maybe on an SV1000 but not a 70bhp 650...

Each to their own tho I guess

Thing is the new ones rev that fast to get there, they sound like 400s used to. Screamin' demons past the house and your not even breaking the law (much/-ish)

Baffle or no baffle, E marked or not, if a replacement exhaust is louder than the manufacturer's original, it is technically illegal under 'construction and use' regulations. I doubt that most police persons are even aware of this fact, so you probably wouldn't get done.

If you prefer the sound with the baffle out, then run it that way.

Not too sure if it’s illegal, but as long as you don’t rev the nuts off when riding past police they won’t pull you over.
I never did find my baffle , must have got lost in the box that I brought it in, oh but I did find it when I sold my bike…..lol....
