might have to look at adding one to my rapidly growing tool chest.

do you know if any one has done a write up on it?
if no one has ill take some pics while im doing it.
ive been quoted £65 buy a garage to do it for me but as money is tight and i like working on my bike and cars i would like to do it myself.

Done today

Forgot the camara so no pics ect.

Easy job realy. the damper rod bolts came out no problems no impact gun needed. cracked it with a braker bar and long impact allen key, it started to just spin so i got my mate to pull the fork inner tube while i turned the dolt with a ratchet came undone a treat.

took me 2 hours to do the first one and 45mins to do the second.

the longest part was taking off and refitting the side farings, front wheel and the forks themselves

all set for the mot tomorrow now

PM me if you want a workshop manual. I have a full workshop manual in PDF. Handy for future repairs etc. I didn't need to remove any fairings when I did mine.

the only reaso that i removed the fairings is that no matter how i tryed my torq wrenh was just too long to to manover it.

while thay were off i replaced the indys for some smaller ones and had to fabricate 2 brackets for them.

pm sent mate

took for mot today and

PASSED

2 advisories

noisey exhaust and the rear brake line has some damage (melting on the cover)

went for a 100+ mile run today as well to test/get use to the new forks. feel alot better turns in better and rides the bumps better.

well worth the time doing it my self.

Turns out I was right, and you should be wary of sites that think belting f*** out of 1/4" drive sockets with an 1/2" impact wrench is a good idea.
Also they have no idea what an air gap is.
I just re-read that site, why the heck wouldnt they give advice on the air gap part of the re-fit !?!
