Default Re: Bsb go's dutch!!!

We are getting too much vested interest concentrated in too few areas of the sport.Same happened in WSB and look how that went downhill as a spectator event.BSB should be spread about around all the major UK venues and would probably be best served by being run by the sporting body like the ACU or something similar, not the person who owns several tracks.

On the issue of tracks suffering through noise problems I think this is something that wont go away. The political tide is running against noise in general and we will ultimately have to deal with it.That will mean running much more heavily silenced bikes(and cars)at all motor racing events in future. We may not want to hear this messagebut we cant avoid it

you mean like Canada and USA's noise limits on race tracks...

89DB

It means a European Spec Road going 1000 (and most road bikes) would immediately fail a noise test at the circuits.

that's probably going a bit far, but I think Biggles is right.

If everyone has more silenced bikes, the competition's still the same. Yeah, they won't sound so good, but we'll have to get over that one way or the other. They're heavier ad probably cost a few quid more but if it's that or no racing/trackdays, well... I've packed in using a race can for trackdays now - it's too risky and there's no point if we're honest.

Obviously, once we're all racing silent electric bikes the whingers can shove it up their bums. Until they find something else to moan about (unsightly bikers lurking behind tyre walls devaluing their houses, probably).
