you're right it is, makes about 30 odd bhp, you might want to keep an eye out for the Goose 250, lighter still and make around the 27bhp, so no great loss of power either, I actually prefer the 250 myself, Bat motorcycles used to import a fair few of these, but once the Japanese market changed their rules the bottom fell out of that market and I believe Bat's went out of business early last years.

You might like to consider the Yamaha srx (both 400 & 600)

which does the same kind of thing, small light skinny, good fun bikes, but again getting a bit old these days so finding a good one is difficult, or indeed if you want something a bit more modern then look at the update the SZR 660

Cheers Mark.

Wow thankyou very much for that post, the srx looks nice, do you know what its bhp output is for the 400? because one of the best things about the goose is that its under 33bhp so doesnt require restriction on my licence.

you'd have to check, but I believe it falls below that, and they were far more popular than the goose, so in theory you should be able to find one easier.

Cheers Mark.

according to a website it has a maximum bhp of 33 so thats all good, although all things considered i still prefer the goose. I will keep an eye out for both now.

do remember that would have been new, I doubt any example you find will make that full amount these days, Oh and the 400 srx was only kickstart, so get training.......

Cheers Mark.

AFAIK,,,,recalling theres been about four SRX600s in the house, they kick out 33.

......as for kick.......find a nice step ladder and jump...theres a knack, which is why i ended up with Suzy, as the ex bought me one, and i couldn't start it!!!

They do however come in an electric start, for those that don't have a massive set of leg muscles
