After all it's essentially just a Video being streamed. As for lag it could be as little as 20ms on a fibre connection (or less even).

That data is pretty old now, I'd need a few days to get the latest (but it'll hit well over 75% of homes by next year) it's also not that relevant, it's only the ping times that'll be massively effected for a lot of people, latency on copper could still be 50ms or lower which if its fine for a FPS is gonna be adequate for skyrim.

I used skyrim as an example of a game with reasonably high graphical fidelity. Think about heavy rain or crysis. Heavy rain being a QTE simulator it's very important to have the timing very accurate. As a side note, I'm on copper and I'm lucky if I get 120ms.

Or dodgy wifi. Even interleaving shouldn't push it that high alone.

It's seriously not an issue, not unless you've got superhuman reaction times (and before you answer that remember I've seen you ride).
