Most of the bikes mentioned are real fast - but they have modern and relatively good tyres and brakes. Ergo, the scariness quotient is largely controllable by the right hand.

For seriously terrifying, it has to be H1 or H2 Kawasakis....basically uncontrollable by anything human! I was seriously scared on an H1, which then killed someone a day later.

That sounds exactly like my experiences. You mentioned accelerating in the higher gears and only being able to hold the throttle open a few secs. Also, in the lower gears it just feels like the biike's going to flip over backwards or wheelie uncontrolably or just be uncontrolable from sheer power and acceleration doesn't it!

yes ,,trojan horse has been scaring him/herself as well some one mentioned that most of these bikes are modern with good tyres etc, etc.but u dont think of that when u cant focus prop and find yourself trying just to hold on to it(honestly) or find yourselve thinking youre abroad i.e on wrong side of road(this gen happens on exit of corners) i think ill wait a while ,no litre monsters for me (or maybe im just gtng too old)

Being a big wimp the most powerful bike I've ever ridden was a Daytona 650. The scariest bike I've ever ridden was my 125 when the front brake hose burst. Even 8 (or so) horsepower is scary when you've only got a rear drum brake to slow you down

The most powerful is the raptor 1000. Next are GSXR750 (old one) and my FZX750. I also rode a CB750 for while and that's probably the most scary because it's brakes were crap and it weighed a ton Interesting times!

You cheeky young pup !!

Seriously though, no I never had either of those problems & I did used to ride it hard / fast - got the points on the licence to prove it too

Mind you thinking about it some more, it did have the rear jacked up & had an Ohlins shock (from Gixxer 100M) on it - maybe that made a difference - don't know enough about engineering to comment on that !!

I heard that the V-Max is the fastest accelerating bike EVER! 0-60 in 2.something seconds

Is this correct?
