What's the story on dobbing people in - say that guy boasting of driving at 100mph with no insurance? Obviously there's no law about saying it, but unless they catch them doing it what can they do?

Probably best to just glass him on the way out

Sorry but this is the way the world is going and unless things change the little scroats will get away with it...

Insurance cailms are always being made, and althoguh people whinge that claims put their premiums up, the insurance companies will always add more every year...

I'd say claim against him, try to get him in court, put the wind up him. Maybe he'll grow out of being a complete little bellend...

If it is that cut and dried I would claim.

I had a scrote hit my parked car when it was in a marked bay on that could only be accessed over the pavement. He skidded 50 yards to hit it - he was deliberately seeing how far he could skid (he also totalled the wifes car and did structural to the house).

He lied like crazy, made up strange allegations too. After 10 months of arguing about it, any sympathy or guilt about chasing the claim was well and truly gone. By then all I wanted was to screw the guy for every penny!

How strange. If they didn't want to get sued they shouldn't have done what they did, and they won't learn anything from this unless they get sued senseless and maybe some sort of community service, etc.

Good luck!
They can't be classed as independent witnesses, it is feasible for a taxi to have complete stranger in his car but for a group of lads to be driving around together and not know the driver is unlikely.

GYKD I would claim if you are genuinely injured but you claiming won’t really affect them more than totaling their car already has.

At the end of the day he went into the back of you, whatever the circumstances, and the police have it on CCTV that he was tailgating.

If your lower back is hurting and you're uncomfortable you need to have it checked out. I was hit from behind in my car 18 years ago, got £2500 for whiplash and still suffer now, so I have no remorse on sueing, I had to give up two hobbies cos of it, and have days now when I can't go out on the bike.
You can't mess about with backs or necks.

So true. I got whiplash in a car accident (we were hit from behind) and although I claimed at the time I've still got all sorts of neck and shoulder problems now...

Edit: the accident was around 10 years ago now...

Been to the docs - its officially "a mild case of whiplash" - so there is a genuine reason to claim.
