It isn't?

When I did the race school two years ago (didn't start racing for a year and did it again last year for various reasons I won't go into now) Dave Stewart mentioned that you could use Water Wetter, if I remember; if not him one of the other people doing the talks.

That'd depend on the race org... in many of the US ones you can use anything that isn't glycerol based.

and also since winter Freezes water.... then a good idea might have been to drain the Water out of the cooling system before Winter hit...

I learn't this with a old Ford Carpi when the cold Winter's night Pushed out 3 core plugs.... and yes one of the core plugs was in the bell housing..

Done a few flushes and it's getting better, but still a long way to go.

Any suggestions?
[edit]Seems to be getting a fair bit better now.
About 10 litres of cheap(ish) oil left...[/edit]

Cheers for all the suggestions people.

Managed to get one bike working ok.
Wasn't quite on top form but ended up with an 11th in last race and soo know I could go faster if I get into it properly :

Glad to see you avoided the first corner carnage! in the last race. There was some excellent Minitwin racing at the weekend.

So what did you do?? I thought that you said the coolent was as good as going straight into the gearbox when you were topping the rad up?? Presumably you have 'fixed' something?

I think the core plugs had popped out from the cold.

Yea, think I was a little infront.
Almost went into the back of someone on the straight though when the red flags came out (lots of people to block the view).
Was a bit worried all weekend because I was generally going around the outside trying to make some places up, but also putting me in a direct line for anybody sliding out from the inside .

I was still a bit rusty, was way off on the brakes as I'm used to the faster 600s at Snetterton. Ended up with 11th in clubmans, which I'm happy enough with.

Roll on Lydden (if I get a grid position ).

As Carsick says, it was the core plugs. Tapped these back in and flushed with oil many times. Still got the other bike to do.

For the record, below is a picture showing the problem.
You can see the two core plugs either side of the spark plug hole.
Obviosuly they should be plugging the holes behind them.
