I've got an 04 daytona as well and exactly the same thing happened

Wierd wouldn't mind but it was last summer so if anything the coolant would have been too hot. It does get a bit toasty in traffic mind.

Most likely smells better than I do at the end of the journey full leathers through central Londn in summer means I depleting the ozone with deoderant

funny story there, Ben (swiss) called in at my gaff on the way back from a test ride of a Daytona 600 (he'd already try some of the Jap stuff I understand), he sat in my living room with "I'm buying that bike" rotating across his eyeballs, I reasonably explained the pros & cons, but he wasn't listening really, so I made one suggestion, making the point he wouldn't be in this position again for a while, at least get a test ride on the big Daytona as a comparison, the rest as they say is history.....

The Daytona is nice and what I'd have if I was looking in that class and money bracket (although the TT 600 is 90% for half the money), but over all you can't beat the big triples.

Cheers Mark.

With Tuneboy you can reset the fan cut-in to whatever temp you want.

Cheers Mark.
