My hugger is different ot the one you've got there but I know that when I put it on I had to bend that small metal bracket thing a sidgen to make it fit with the hugger attached.

What's yours?

And can I just comment on that bike- it's *sooo* clean - you been taking pointers from KwakZZR? Don't!!!! We think it's an OCD. ;o)

The rear hugger's a Pyramid. As for the clean, it's a professional photographer's trick I've learned involving using low light and a cheap camera

What does fitting one of these things involve? Rear wheel off?

In the case of the Pyramid one, it replaces the chain guard on the left side and comes with a clamp that wraps around the swingarm on the right side (which is where I'm stuck). You take the chain guard off and remove the small black plastic shock guard and (Carefully - to avoid scratches) slide the hugger in place without needing to do anything else. Then you bolt it in to the chain guard holes and fit the clamp. Supposedly, you can still change the tire without needing to remove it as well.

My understanding is the Suzuki OEM ones bolt on differently.

The Suzuki OEM one on my better halfs K5 SVS mounts exactly the same way you have described for the pyramid hugger.
