Still think it's longer, physically.
I'll get the tape measure out on it and measure the link pipe and measure the end CAN as well and I'll let you know how long it really is!

I haven't answered the poll but I did want to point out that I know of three individuals whose blueflame cans fell apart within a year!

Ok I had the tape measure out this morning.

Link pipe is 26cm long from the weld to the start of the CAN. (might be couple of cm that are inside the end CAN)

The end CAN itself is 48cm long.

Only 11cm from the start of the CAN to the strap, that leaves some 35cm after the strap!! (allowing 2cm for strap)

I also noticed that the strap has been rubbing on the coloured part of the CAN and has rubbed some of it away! Great, if I move the CAN now then i'm going to be left with a strap mark showing....

Any ideas??

My measurements.

End can along the bottom = 41cm(45ish if you include the port length)

Strap = 3.5 cm

22.5cm link pipe along the top from weld under peg to can.

I got a new K5 link pipe a couple months ago and it moved the can 2cm further forward. There are some strap marks if you look closely at the can.

I was lucky, my colour is at the end not the front so old strap mark not too noticeable. You will know by now that my measurements were the same as yours.
Will post before & after pics tonight.

DD You should know from my email all blueflames were 48cm until recently 40 cm was made available (40 cm supposed to be only for high level ones).

Meh, I prefer my one even though it's supposed to be only for high level.

DD - I hope Blueflame sorts it all out for you.

Before with the 25cm link pipe

After with the 22 cm link pipe

Will try again for myself in the daylight and try and replicate the first position better.
May not look much better, but it's a step in the right direction. And on mine it has brought it in a lot closer to my bike.
