I can get to the photos by C&P the URL into a browser....... the link from your post is not 'clickable' for me

Anyways, commiserations for the spill, looks worse than it sounds

Sorry your bike is damaged but I'm really glad to hear you're OK and nobody else was hurt. Don't forget to get that helmet checked too -- sometimes even a low-speed crash will make them less useful in another off.

Every time I hear about one of us scraping a lid I'm sorry they're having to spend more $$ on a new one, but very happy they're not undergoing surgeries and skin grafts instead.

Hope you're riding again soon!

Looks like it might want a new RHS clipon too- if it's ground down then getting the throttle to work cleanly can be a faff. If you decide to fix it yourself, I'm pretty sure I've got a bar end, lever and standard throttle tube somewhere, maybe a footpeg hanger...

Out of curiousity, did you have any crash bungs fitted?

Vulcan666, don't wory about the helmet, It is history. The scapes mean it can only be used as a trophy.

Northy, I agree with the clip on requirement, there is a good 1/2" of grounding.

I am now trying to get the 3rd party to decide what they want to to. If they wish to claim against me, then I loose my no claims and everything else so might as well claim for the bike. However if they are not going to claim. I think it is still a fixer upper, all parts will repair or can be sourced from the likes of fleabay.

I am watching several auctions, for a clip on, peg hanger and fairing panel.

The tank is a bit of filler and a bit of reshaping is required for the lowers and rear plastic and then a paint job. Paint is a decision to I either do it myself bearing in mind the last time I did any serious spraying was when I was a student and subsidised my grant by doing car restorations. Otherwise there are plenty of local bodyshops who would probably do it for me either free or at cost.
