Dont think so... on restricted bike you will shift up at about 5k rpm's , on a normal SV you will shift up at 8k maybe more !

good stuff! hehe. if you look at alot of the ss600s the engine has less torque than the older ones, but more power as the powerband is just shifted up the rev range. Sounds like its just for braggin rights to me as extra power at 120mph+ seems pointless even on the track. i'd be interested in seeing a new bikes set up/frame/suspension/etc with an older engine. After all, everyone went mad for the 675!
