Hi Guys,

My two favourite bits of road are:

The twisties from Calander to Strathyre on the A84 (near the beginning of the Dukes Pass). All redone last year and a lot of the corners are shell grip. Very quiet during the week and at night but avoid on sunny Sundays!

The road from the end of the wibbly wobbly all the way up to Inveraray and the Loch Gilphead, Tarbert is fantastic for smmoth high speed corners. Watch out for the cops here though, particularly at the big straight just after the rest and be thankfull going past the junction for Dunoon. Cops hide in the undergrowth .

Cheers

You bloody did, just that I chased you! (luckily, you were all going at a nice relaxed pace, or I'd still be wandering the mountains)

The A7, from Edinburgh to about somewhere in Engerland... Although it's not really suitable for an SV

The dukes pass is fab, but right now my favourite wee stretch is a neat section of road between Braco and Comrie, via Langside and Culloch, http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&om...79797,0.462799

This is short but very sweet. An excellent surface, with tight open bends and a distinct lack of traffic on it. Also when heading to Comrie you arrive on another great road, the A85.

I for one can't wait to see what our collective thoughts are on a map.

someones already posted it, but i always used to enjoy the A82 from dumbarton northbound..

if you're feeling particularly adventurous you could try stoneyflat road in bellsmyre...avoiding the pot-holes and shopping trolleys and the occasional burnt out ford was a favourite pastime of mine in the 80's

Or if you want to be adventurous
Round the back of Wallace's Ornament to Blairlogie church .up the side of the church and keep going to the top of the hill turn right over Sheriff Muir towards Greenloaning OK on a dry day but you will need your wellies for the two fords on a wet day and don't stall it on the corners
