Northy - not disputing that the tyre is fecked, what took me by surprise was the speed with which it went from looking 'low but still legal and rideable' to being mullered.

What I'm wondering is, did you check the tread by the centre before you left? The TWIs don't really tell you much on any tyre, but they're especially useless on a Roadtec...
