Definitely sounds like diesel...don't over analyse what happened or you'll end up tying yourself in knots over it. The main thing is that neither you nor the bike are badly hurt. GWS and stay positive

Glad to hear you're OK - it comes to us all, just a matter of when. Aside from doing it again to gain experience you could try an off-road day (the bike sliding around and both wheels locking into a skid won't feel as scary after that, just something to be dealt with) and IAM training for observation/planning. Just make sure you get back on the bike and don't let it faze you too much - it's a one-off, not something that's going to happen again any time soon. It'll probably take a while for the confidence to come back but the more you ride the faster it'll return, especially if you keep riding in this weather.
