I got a brand new ZX6r form george whites for 5.5k with extras on 0% and its more comfortable than the SV was, smoother and absolutely flies. IL4's are not the gutless lumps the magazines describe either. It seems as torquey as the SV low down and goes crazy over 10k.

Just spoken to them, they've only got the blue ones left.

I get the impression Muffles was using that as an example - that there are vastly differing prices in dealerships so decide what bike you want first, then ring round for the best offers.

Don't forget fuel economy - I don't know any middleweight sports or sports tourer that comes close the the SV's 55-65mpg. Most of the sports 600 will be lucky to get in the upper 30s tbh. Maybe that's an issue to you, maybe not but compared to the cost of fuel on my last car my SV pretty much pays for itself on the savings...

Sorry gonna disagree here the ZX10 is bloody uncomfatable for a pillion, feel like ya constantly falling on the rider and a killer on ya back!

Are you on about a ZX10 or a ZX10R though. The ZX10's from the 90s are really comfy.

I get the same amount of miles out of my GSXR per tank as I did my SV..

In fact on alonger run, i.e motorway milleage the GSXR is better on fuel than the SV is.

Yes, yes I was...I was just saying that the prices you had got were particularly biased towards teh 675...and that you can get prices swinging the other way too...
