This was the main reason because of the wind noise

I use foam tipped in ear headphones which cut out the wind noise at speed and have the muic on low enough to still be able to hear the engine and cars around me or any sirens if they happen to come up. In fact I think I can hear the engine better with my headphones in becuase they cut out all wind noise and I rarely ride without them now.

I dont have an mp3 player...

but I need to get something because the wind blast on long jounreys leaves my ears abit worse for wear afterwards!

You can get a bag full of them off eBay quite cheap. I sometimes use them instead of listening to my iPod. Again, they cut out the wind noise and help you focus on what you are doing/engine noise.

I think you need the bigest ears inthe world for those tesco ones I had some and they never fitted. On the way to the hardy bikers my right one slipped out so I could only hear out of one ear for a few minutes on landing.

I love mine, use them all the time... listening to tunes and podcasts....

Did a good couple of hours ride yesterday and listened to Moyles podcast, just like having the radio on.

Mine are the in-ear ones so feels comfortable with my lid on
