Front head Exhaust clearance - 0.15mm (should be 0.20-0.30mm)
Front head Inlet clearance - 0.13mm (should be 0.10-0.20mm)

Rear head Exhaust clearance - 0.15mm (should be 0.20-0.30mm)
Rear head Inlet clearance - 0.14mm (should be 0.10-0.20mm)

Rear shim - 1.26mm (Should be 1.75mm)

Checking the front shim after dinner, expect it will be the same.

thought that it was pretty unusual to see a valve clearance out of tolerance on an SV, let alone all of them. Is it a high mileage engine?

Mine made me giggle, 45000-odd miles on it now without a single shim needing changed, which would be decent enough but then, it's had its cams swapped too, and the new cam was so closely toleranced that the clearances were identical afterwards

Well it looks like I need a shim that 1.20 in size, according to the graph in the Haynes manual. 4 in total.

Dan, you've only given 1 inlet and 1 exhaust per cylinder, does this mean the readings for both inlet and both exhaust on front and rear cylinders were exactly the same, or did half the clearances end up in tollerence?
