Here's a pic - if there is a letter after the R(ear) as circled, then it is an OEM dual compound rear. No letter, then a tri-compound aftermarket rear.

Same thing for the F(ront) obviously. No letter = dual compound, letter = single compound.

having had a wobble on ym bike this morning (setting off from the end of the road at a round about, trying to make good progress and finding the back spinning up sliding etc) i am curoious about all this getting heat into tyers. I ride a short (5-6 miles) commute and currently have avon viper sports on the bike. Previously on the sv after 1.5-2 miles on avon storms i had enough grip for my riding. However i am finding that i am feeling the back end "wobble" a bit.

Any real advice would be apreciated.

Possibly just slippy roads mate? Got a shock a few months ago when the roads were greasier than I expected opened the throttle wide in 4th and span up the back wheel. Manx matt did the same shortly before (but much worse!).

p.s simesb that picture's really weird, I thought I was viewing the top of the tyre - though the rubber looked absolutely shagged...til I realised the reason it looked like tarmac was because it was

Manx's wobble was right in front of me, it was like he was waggin his tail lol a good foot movement to either side. Good lad powered through it though.

Andy IIRC that was somewhere sheffield end of the snakepass - manx pulled out for an overtake (into oncoming traffic lane) gave it the means and lots the back end (shook his feet off the pegs),scary. I had a lesser one near hathersage, had a landrover up my **** though hehe no worries I'll shoot off now; opened the throttle and the back just went from one side to the other to the other
