Cherished Number plate cool or uncool? - Page 4 - SV650.org

Well I'm glad I have bought! 12 votes each way at the moment! so only 50% of the people I filter past will feel the need to shout abuse at me?

I have been asked everyday since last week when I started riding it "is it new" then they walk round the back and go ahh ohh its 5 years old.

So now when they say is it new I can say "yep" lol think that may make me even more of a sad loser

na, theres a bit of mis-spacing going on, got a prefix letter above all on its lonesome but thats all, it still reads the same and does not affect the anpr systems...

I can't see the pic, just comes up as a little red box, I was meaning cherished transfers are perfectly legal.

and i meant the picture you cant see

I know cherrished plates are legal my mum has one on her car with hers mine my brother and my dads first initials on, i think a lot of private plates look quite good

Ouch! £80 just to be able to change plates?!

Yes £80 or there abouts to transfer a cherished plate but when you consider the valuation some are given ,cheap. As you can no longer buy one the age of mine unless in a DVLA Auction,or from a dealer and I haven't changed it from my bike in 5 years,plus the actual plate[1963 Reg No] itself is now 12-14 year old so its a negligible cost for something worth £1500

I have one, my girlfriend bought me it for my 18th birthday many many moons ago.

There is a story behind it which is quite lovely or sad depending on the personality of the person your telling it too.
