I can understand this, I after listening to your troubles, not thinking update the OS. Now im going to have words with O2 about this. I can get much signal, the 3g net access haha unless im wifi connected....... so i have a Smart phones thats only good for checking the time. Stupid apple junk.

Yeah apple are crap..... iv had three now and I keep going back because they are so rubbish !!

No signal issues only in known black spots / poor signal areas on both the 1g 3g and iphone4 on o2, the touch screens are accurate iv never once had sync problems with M$ exchange, I utilise all the decent apple and 3rd party apps in cydia the iphones look good and feel solid compared to most other devices , the phone fits perfectly into my work life as an IT tech. I also manage a large mobile feet of around 300-350 users all using devices from blackberry's to rugged Windows mobile PDA's and alot of management have HTC and iphones Too so I regularly get to set-up, test and play with the all the latest phones.
Yes my next phone may be an android but at the moment im sticking with my iphone4.
But what does annoy me is that most people with an Android phone think apple are crap and that's the be all and end all.
Both apple / android devices are excellent devices and just as good as each other, both have good and bad points but just to say one is the best and everything else is crap is just stupid.
we should be happy that our mobile devices keep evolving and getting better and better and stop bitching about one or the other.
and working in a IT dept and managing a mobile fleet I see alot of faulty sets and believe me iphones are near the bottom of the list.

o2 can be obstuctive of this sort of thing. Bad press and all that. However, i to date, have never ahd an issue and i have been with them for over 10 years in all.

Have you tried downlaoding the HTC app. Makes your phone run Android and works really well?

Seems like a lot of odd suggestions TBH.

He's self employed, paid for a phone that should work... not a "build it yourself" course in DIY phone upgrading... it's f***ed. Therefore is unfit for purpose. Therefore is costing him money. I suggest going down to the local O2 shop and causing a stink.

Special, after my recent success in comet with the gift card, if you do intend on causing a stink in the O2 shop, I suggest lots of swearing and when they threaten to call the police use phrases like 'bring it' and 'good, I'll call them myself!'

If your freelance and need your phone so badly for reliant on work, why did you buy a first generation iproduct, knowing the bad reviews it has had, and the likely hood of its failure why not wait until the next generation?

Putting that aside, yes you have a phone on contract that doesnt provide the service, back to the shop with it to complain, only way I think.

been with 02 for ages and never had a problem, normally find their customer service one of the best to deal with!
