Cherry Blur and the rest of the so-called Civil Rights industry have a lot to answer for.

The justice system in this country is not about justice.

Or morality...or fairness.

Law should be for the victims...not the hoodlums.

I was thinking how does the lawyer who won the case sleep at night?

On a big bed of money...naturally.

This is Blackburn, Justice secretary at the time being Blackburn's own Jack Straw whose concept of justice was to give offenders a sharp talking to.

The system stinks. One branch of government wants this scumbag out. He is a convicted thief, returning him back when he first offended and the poor kid would still be alive.

Then again, sharia punishment of loosing a hand and foot would also have stopped him from driving/killing and running off.

I might be misinterpreting some information here, so correct me if I am, but surely if he's not only been caught driving illegally over here, but also successfully convicted of it, wouldn't the fact that he failed his immigration application have become obvious at that time?

In other words, why wasn't he deported when he was picked up for the driving offence???

this is two issues...

An RTC and an immigration issue,

If he has an immigration right to stay in the uk then tough, that is how our laws work like it or not.

The RTC he has been given 4 months for which I do not think is serious enough.

very sad and my thoughts are with the familly

Almost certainly done on legal aid, all of £63/hour, you might think that sounds a lot, but take out all the business overhead and it was probably done at a loss.

I think that this odious scumbag shouldn't be here, but the fact is that he now has two British kids. Shame that he can hide behind them, I have no info on what sort of family life he has with them, but they are entitled to have their father around, good or bad. Probably claims benefits too

He does NOW, as a result of the legal battle, but AFAIK he DIDNT at the time of the incident.

Nah mate, as a normal Brit you'd be fined your entire worldly wealth and sent down for 15 years.

Try black yourself up with boot polish and stick a towel on your head first.

Whilst criminal sentencing is a joke, this one really takes the pi$$.

Driving whilst disqualified has a max sentence of six months, usually given when aggravating factors are involved; eg, failing to stop at an injury RTC.

I can't see why this bloke wasn't given the maximum sentence!

I know this discussion is about his immigtration status, but I thought I'd chuck that in.
