Default Re: What have you lost on the road either from your bike or luggage?

Me on one or two occasions.

I've also lost the chain, gear change pivot bolt, the clutch lever when a car decided to pull out whilst I was over taking.

The pillion seat, not secured properly.

A friend of mine lost his pillion once. Very funny, apart from I nearly rode over here when she went. We were in the back of beyond in Germany looking for somewhere to camp for the night. We went down a track and after some strong winds, a branch of a tree was hanging over the track. He ducked and she didn't.

They had autocom fitted. Didn't do any good though because she was asleep. I have to admit, I didn't laugh at the time, but we were all still laughing years after.

Never killed me, the wife does it regularly (well compared to how often she gets on the bike she does it regularly).

She had an amazing ability to keep holding on even when she was asleep. Used to watch him go round the twisting bends and her head would be all over the place but her body stayed put.

Wife wraps her arms round me, then her head sideways on my shoulder blade and uses the lining of her helmet as a pillow, when I feel her move into that position I know she's settling in for a cuddle and a kip, usually at the end of a long day out on the bike. It's great cause it means I can get a shift on and get home earlier, and she doesn't dig me in the ribs for going too fast. Can go at a pace that she would be scared of if she was awake.
