Or just convert to LPG

This summer i can see CG125 being the most popular purchase to make. I've only got my SV at the minute and haven't put fuel in it for 3 months. I've got a work fuel card and even i am thinking "Holy S***e" when i fill up. A woman where i work commutes 100 miles a day round trip and i feel sorry for her as at 50mpg its costing her £13 a day in diesel to get to work and back instead of £9 a year ago.

And people come up with stupid protests like this? I say bring on electric vehicles!

Did you know if they solar panelled the deserts in Africa then a day's sunlight would power the world for a year.

so your sugesting that instead of protesting for rights (to show we even exist) we should carry on pay shed loads of tax until the country has enough money to solar panel the desert? Maybe my great great great grandchildren would benefit it.

Nick and Dave tell us all the time that they are so concerned about the high price of fuel. So they think that not putting it up 1p a litre in the budget is really going to appease everyone.

I suppose in a way we all work for GB Plc. Your boss and the owner of the company work for them in that they pay lots of taxes.

We're pretty buggered as a country, we've got an enormous debt to pay back and just to kick us when we're down the Arab states are all in the sh*t putting the barrel price up to it's highest in a long time

At last check brent crude is at $115 a barrel. It's not like OPEC are going to drop that. Until the market stabilises it's going to be really painful, after that it's just going to feel like a mere rapage. If everyone did it though.

My daily round trip commute is 140 miles and that's if I go the shorter but more time way. If I went the motorway all the way, it'd be closer to 160 miles. I have to fill the car every 3 days. I don't get mileage allowance or a fuel card. The cost of the fuel comes directly out of my pocket.

Soon to be made redundant but when looking for a new job, it will be one (much) closer to home which means I can afford to take about 5k less in sallary and still be no worse off.

Well for all the whinging and laughter going on - I see that as usual we'll lambast the idea as carp but not actually bother thinking up one ourselves.
It maybe a ill though out idea but least they are trying to do somethin about it. Unlike the majoirity who think its worthless.

If it was my idea i'd go with stick big turbines off the west coast of Ireland and manufacture your way out of poverty with something most of the world won't have. Bring on the seven barrage. This country needs some help plus turbines seem to improve drinking water quality so chuck them in a few fast flowing rivers.
