Funnily enough, I did today a machine control event with KAMG and managed to drop mine as well. It happened so quickly that my only reaction was to start laughing as I realise I couldn't hold it while it slipped between my legs. Anyways, apart from a slightly scuffed crush bung, everything was untouched. Definitely get some.

If anything, it improved my confidence and performance through the rest of the exercises and made the day more enjoyable. I even managed to pull a stoppie in the end.

It's basically an organised event where you get to practice slow speed manoeuvres like slow slaloms, figures of 8, U turns and emergency brakes in a safe and controlled environment. This one was organised by my IAM group and was held at the Kent County Constabulary Training Centre in Maidstone.

I also booked a place with Hopp Rider Training for their Advances Machine Skills day on the 4th of September.

I try to take every opportunity to up the my skills and learn something new. Dropping the bike is not necessary fun if you end up braking things but it is part of exploring the limits which will ultimately reduce the potential for similar mistakes in the future, where the environment may not be just as safe.

3 blokes in a scaffolding van stopped to pick it up for me.

In all seriousness - it happens and will likely happen again. Just learn from it and don't worry.
Thats hilarious! LOL

Don't worry about the crash bungs on EBay they are constantly being advertised. If not you can buy them fro
R&G direct for about £15 more. Fitting is easy and if you go on the R&G site there is a PDF of the instructions.

There are 2 yellows for bikes of this age. Pearl Canyon and Pearl Lively (like mine). Lively yellow is Y9H if you goggle the other colour you will get a hit for the code. RS paints have both and I'm not on commission!

Mine rolled off the stand about 5 yards behind me a month or so back, it was just 3 weeks old.
Smashed gear lever, indicator, bar end and scuffed mirror, thankfully it only put a speck of damage on the fairing.

I was jumping up and down like a loon outside the house with the bike on its side. Anyone watching would have been p**sing themselves at my reaction. Even thinking about it now it makes me laugh.

S**t happens sometimes, its annoying but you're ok and you'll be back on the bike like it never happened soon.

Chin up.
