Welcome, fella. On a " restricted " sk6 myself, love her, plenty of power. My first big bike after a 125, handles pretty well in all weather. Only the top end is restricted on 33bhp ecu. Just ride safely get used to the power and cornering.
Get eating those miles

It's easier to sell it restricted, puts the value up massively cos these restricted ecu's are like gold dust.

Buuuuutttt saying that all the restrictions are changing soon so I've no idea how the market will turn

Best looking SV I've seen for a while. Some people will bash you for your rim tape. Ignore them! Looks good!

As biggles said, make sure you get that unrestricted ECU if that's how they're doing it. 5 minutes job to change it over and as for resale, it's not just new riders who buy SVs, so a restricted one is no good to an experienced biker unless they're 82.

Not sure about this SVs are bad in the wet business though. Sounds rubbish to me. At the end of the day it's what rubber is in contact with the road and how you ride it. It should serve you fine!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Glad you like her, only 9 days till I pick her up now my dad has already been tearing me apart thanks to the tape...
Will make sure to get the original ecu when I pick it up, save me some cash in 2 years time!
Nice looking bike you got there sniff, even if I do say so myself

Also fella beware of riding when there's any salt on the road - it can cause corrosion literally within hours of hitting your bike.

Used to think people were being a bit OCD when they told me to wash the bike straight after riding on salted roads but I've seen rust form between putting the bike away at night and getting it out again the next morning.

Doesn't matter so much with my old steed but you don't want it on a mint bike like yours.

Cheers Chris, when you say'wash' after a blast on salted roads, you mean just hose her down? or a full on scrub?

Make sure you scrub those tyres in for around 100 miles possibly more in the wet, I'd be asking for conti road attacks or BT023's best tyres around, if you ride all year round get some ACF50, SV's rust badly, get some decent waterproof gear, heated gloves or grips, crash bungs as those panels are expensive to replace and insurance will probably right the bike off, and just ride safe.
