Small update: fuse went in the grips just before Christmas. Just got around to buying some more fuses - 3AMP 240V for info - and that did the job. Done quite a few miles on the new fuse without it cutting out.
In actual fact, I bought 3.15A fuses as they didn't have any 3A left. Oh, and they are microwave fuses originally! |

![]() ![]() ![]() 240V (AV) mains voltage fuses in heated grips!? I can't believe that is what was fitted!!?? If they are the Oxford Hot grips you have, they should have an automotive 'blade' fuse near where they connect to the battery! As you have gone with (I assume) a glass fuse, make sure it is or the correct type - there are two types, T & F... Slow blow (T) and quick-blow (F) and they do VERY different jobs!! HTH |

Both Nagai and I fitted mine on New Years Day. I have a K4 and the grips that come with the beanie hat. They get bloody hot, and have to let go every now and again to let the air at them.
One thing we did have problem with, was with the bar ends, and we snapped a bit of the throttle plastic end, to get the grips on, bit of a bastad -but managed it. now working a treat. I take it the K4 has different bars then? to the K3 Mass |
