I confused...does old SV or new SV cutty-outty front cylinder in wet? Here is what I do...I ask 'does front cylinder cut out in wet?' if they say of course not then if it happens I say you told me fibs....that there telling porkies act...Some bloke at work has a T-reg GSX750f teapot....build quality ain't the best but it is certainly a better bike than given credit for. Wouldn't mind one meself.

Sometimes you can make a change without having to admit there's a failure in the original approach- "The original subframe was perfectly strong with the stock cans, however we realise that people may want to change them and so we now offer the steel subframe" sort of thing. It's a mistake to build a bike that won't take such a popular mod- but at the same time, people can hardly point the finger if they perform a mod that causes a problem. It'd be like us doing a 700cc boreout on hte SV and complaining when the crank snaps that the manual doesn't say not to... Of the major manufacturers, I think only Triumph encourage or even condone the fitting of aftermarket cans.

But the SV plug cap is a totally different thing, since the change could only be designed to counter a design error.
