Oh you're so right there. Thats one thing i do like about the yanks, they really do vote with their feet and boycott places that give bad service or are rude etc. This fool may one day have a sign outside his place saying "WE LOVE BIKERS, PLEASE COME IN" then realise the damage has been done and the till is far emptier than it culd have been.

Gotta say i totally agree with you, running a family buisness in catering on the Isle of Man, if this was over here you would last 5 minutes, partly ofc because of the ammount of bikers over here... but also nothing is a secret and word spreads like wild fire here!

Glad i got a reply but still unhappy we were stopped from going to the witton castle cafe. I will try again and see whats said next time.
Just got another email from organiser saying he will let me know whats said after his meeting on friday ok so i will let you guys know too. I know its not a big thing but its the principal really.

100% correct. i'm not bothered slightly if im barred from 1 place, such as `1 of my local gaffs for bugger all really...but i'd enquired futher... as i think it sometimes can be unfair on other people including yourself who has done nothing wrong to offend these people.

Ahwell good luck keep us updated!

Just an update on the whole no bikers thread. I got this reply from the event organisers.

"Hi George, I didn't actually get to talk to the owner, he sent his
accountant instead which was fine for what I needed to discuss. However I did ask the security guard and it is true that they are not allowing
bikes, and various other types of vehicle onto the site apart from our
event. They seem to think that having bikes, vans, flatbeds etc. around
may put people off buying their £50,000 to £100,000 caravans and chalets. They are not showing any potential buyers around the site over Stormin' weekend
."

Its very two faced of the owner to me, that its fine to have us in for an event which earns him cash but he does'nt want us in any other time incase we lower the tone of the place... Oh well his loss.

The management/owner seems very narrowminded to think that the potential purchaser of an expensive caravan/chalet won't be/isn't a biker or owner of a flatbed/van.

Would he turn down a sale if the interested party turned up on their bike/in their van i wonder?

I'd follow that up with another email to MAG Central, asking why they're supporting a venue that is so anti-bike.
