The screws in question hold the choke plungers in

Got the plunger screw out without much trouble once I had them on a flat surface (in this case it was the kitchen worktop ) turned them on their side then a couple of whacks with a hammer and sharp point to the side of the screw saw it loosen off.

So whats going to be best to replace them with, going to use stainless steel but do I go for cap head, button head or Philips pan head like the originals?

I replace mine with S/S cap heads and greased them on instalation. I guess anything is better than the OEM ones

Trying to stick them together with chewing gum would probably be better than the standard screws!

+1 same here as i hope the cap heads can take more of my heavy handed stubby fingered footering than the button ones

Made a start on fitting new seals and stainless bolts to my carbs tonight and well Erm this kind of happened...

It's part of the carb heater set up, will it run ok with out it fitted or am I going to have to splash out on a new one?

Oh dear.

Is that the bit on the outside where the heater plugs on to the loom?
