Well, I'd rather an R1200s. Sounds like a Sopwith, looks like nothing else, in a good way. Maybe I should take up pipe-smoking and restore my dad's old Trialmaster jacket.

No guys, its really that small. Pegasus made it look like a monkey bike when he sat on it.
All I can say is that the seat wasn't to my liking, very hard, the ass end was very high up, and the front end was very low down. The full on ass up t*ts down bike! In comparison to the clip ons on my SV, these were much lower, very much a race bike experience.

Petess just said its about the size of Honda 600 rr.

Me too.

A black one.

If it had a better pillion seat and summit I could get the 52L top box on, I would have one.

Going cheap for a BM 2nd hand too.

I have had a grandad bike (retro) for 8yr and am still under 40 so I think I could live with the stigma! ....and just get on with tarnishing BM riders stereotype by riding like a fanny.

Oh and as a side note, I thought you would appreciate a mechanical fix over an electronic patch?
Hey if you can think of a mechanical way that doesn't weigh a ton to put 190bhp through a patch the size of a fag packet go ahead

The R1s way of reducing torque fluctuation is cool, but how many people ever get to that last couple of % to utilise that grip?

The R1 way expands the envelope slightly, the BMW lets more people get near that envelope.

And if one overtakes me then I can go #meh# and call the rider a fanny because the electronics ride the bike

I'd have to be careful, my dentist rides an F800GS. (With an IAM sticker on it...) He could put me in a whole new world of pain!

ha ha like the last bit

Your right about the R1, but then how many people get close to the performance of any bike? I hear a few people say they found the limit of the SV... Nope they found their limit to handle the SV, so they went to a bike that allows the rider to handle the speed easier.

Only reason the R1 is how it is is for racing though to be fair, its where that little bit of extra grip quite probably shows, from what I understand they wernt running much TC in WSB!

Damn right, now there's the true acid test of your riding ability. Can you afford an S1000RR? Then you can't ride!

Well you're making a bit of a hash of saying that you don't want one, then! Don't see the relevance of one's riding/financial ability in *any* capacity, to whether you like the bike or not

Anyway that little dig aside...I like it.
