But the 500s are slow with no road presence.

Bah, you just need to be more aggressive
![]() I rather liked the CB500, preferred it to the hornet6 anyway. Druid

No, a Honda Cub is slow with no road presence, and I use one for tooling around town on, and somehow remain alive to tell tales of "glory". The 500's are just workmanlike machines made for commuting and learning to ride on. If he's worried, stick some of these on the forks.

Yeah, he wants to use bike on motorway not around town.
So I guessing a fairing that actually does something would help, as would a bit of power to get out of the way of stuff.

Ah yes but I will also be filtering into London after the motorway...perhaps a dullville with a C90 strapped to it?
The other alternative is just to rack up the miles on the CBR and just relax my wrist a bit more. |

Whatever you do you had best be learning a bit of servicing noddle or garage costs will make you cry doing that mileage.

On of the reasons I went for the VFR, servicing is easy and cheap.

I thought they were a complete pain in the **** to do the valves on?
Best bet for simple servicing is oil cooled suzuki. Shim and locknut valves, they don't need expensive oil. GSX750F or something.

You're thinking of the VFR800 VTEC, RC24 has screw and locknuts. Need doing more often than shims but easier to do. Bodywork comes off in about 60 seconds, remove seat, 14 Dzus, and 6 screws gets you to this:
Tank off takes another 60 seconds and you can do just about everything on it. Druid
