Just to confirm, there aren't any bollards or reflective markings on this piece of kerb at all (or at least any more). I know of 4 people who've hit it in the last 2 years, although this is the first time someone's hit it on a bike. Driving home from work I'll see on average one person per week drifting into the lane only to swerve away from it as they realise there's a kerb there.

Once the curvey's fixed up we'll pop it in the livingroom. We should just pour concrete over the carpet and use it as an indoor garage

Damn right...this isn't going to delay his Welcome To Warrington night out in the slightest.

Plus, he'll get the sympathy vote from the women on the night out!

You need to go get some pics asap before the highway authority hears about it and removes the kerb!!!

They won't remove the kerb, it's in the correct position for the exit it serves

Much better to simply remove the first "filter lane" and remove any notion that you can enter that area of the road...

All they need to do is replace the bollards that were originally in place. They were put there for a reason when that kerb was put down so they have been negligent in not replacing it.

Pretty sure the bollard is a legal requirement regardless of the island layout

Even with the bollard it's not a great layout with people approaching a right turn filter they will continue to try and use it, only difference is that with a bollard they usually realise before they hit the kerb

I'm surprised they didn't tack on a caveat to the Ind. Estate planning consent saying they had to adjust the junction layout, it'd have been peanuts in the grand scheme of things
