So, short term get another SV to replace yours and ride that for the remaining 8 months of your policy and then see what your insurance options are like at the end of the term, you can always bin them off and change insurance companies at that point. If you buy a tidyish SV I wouldnt have thought you'd loose that much financially on it.

Was seriously considering one as a second bike but saw sense and went for an SV.

DRZ - Really nasty seat, naff fuel range (fixable with aftermarket), slow unless you are on C roads/farmtracks.

DRZ + Great looking. Nice adjustable sussies. Cheaper insurance. Cheaper tyres. Cheaper to run. A lot of knowledge about to pep-up the performance...but as usual you need deep pockets for bhp.

Presumably he didn't make a claim against his own insurance if he was knocked off by someone else?
