What pressures were you running?

I really want to try something like this. I just want to ride a bike 'off-road' really, starting easy then building to trickier stuff, but i dont want to have to get into racing/competing.

Ive been looking at DR350's on ebay, would this be a good idea to start on? It will be riden on normal roads as well, maybe a winter-hack type idea, but ill be keeping the SV for proper stuff.

Wont go far wrong with one of them tbh.

I use mine in the winter as well, I went out on mine on Sunday, the roads were shockingly dirty and greasy, I would've hated to get my sprint that dirty.

Get one. No need to clean them, servicing is a hoot, and the more scars the better they look.

Thats another reason i want one, to start servicing and tinkering with, knowing that im not potentially ruining an expensive bike.

I do keep mine reasonably clean tbh, i dont worry about battle scars though, pick up a few scratches from branches etc here and there.
I normally just hose it down when i get home and it looks clean again.

I got my DR350ses last year and have started getting into green laning, i'd say the bike is pretty good, it's not to heavy so can be picked up fairly easy (more often than i'd like), I finally built up the courage to cross Lopwell dam (Devon) for the first time, it amazes me how far they will go underwater and how steep the hills they will climb. Instead of looking out the window and thinking fiddlesticks it's raining, it's now AWSOME, more mud.

OK seems I was wrong about how expensive it is to use a NON road legal bike

mx & enduro practice day on the 20th Febuary
MX and Enduro Obstacle Practice

Running on both the mx track and the enduro obstacle course, you have the choice of riding just the mx track or the enduro obstacles or both. The combined track length if you do both is about 2 miles.

Set in 5 acres of field, the enduro obstacle challenge is a mix of man made obstacles; such as "rubble rush" and "tyre test" and natural obstacles with tight turns through trees and over banks with plenty of roots to add a little interest.

The mx track is a traditional grass scramble track with some 30ft table top jumps and some single jumps, a double and some interesting "kickers" to add some spice to the mix.

With limited places available, early booking is highly recommended.

Anyone with a properly silenced bike is welcome.

The cost is £15 for a whole day of open riding from 11.00 - 3.30.

To book a place, a £10 deposit is required in advance, with the balance payable on the day. You can either post a cheque to us, or we now accept payal.

More information and contact details are on the web site.

Cheers
