I seems 100-110 miles till the light comes on is pretty standard for city riding. How much difference does it make having an aftermarket can?

Tested it no faults displayed, TPS could use adjusting aswell, poor fuel consumption must be down to rider error or a desperate need of a service, going to check the spark plugs now see if its running rich

Plugs were both clean so no rich mixture, TPS was way off somewhere around 3000rpm, but no torx bit so that's gonna have to wait till I find/buy one, now can anyone tell me what exactly balancing the throttle bodies is?

Crude terms again, you connect vacuum gauges to each TB, and adjust a screw with the engine running until both readings are the same. A slight variation is to connect a gauge, generally home made, that measures the difference between the two, and obviously you then adjust to minimise that difference.

Update on this, last three fills I worked out that the warning light came on after using just over 13L. The first refill the light came on after using only 11.5L, but it looks like that's a one-off. So I'm going to assume no more than 3L available once it comes on, and hopefully won't end up stranded out of fuel.

160 to the flashing light, almost every time.

Filled to neck of tank with bike upright so i think about 12.5 ltrs. Mix of motorway and town usually but tbh it doesn't seem to make a huge difference what riding i'm doing the light always comes on bang on 160.
