Using normal un-leaded, im getting around 140-150 miles before light is constently on. Light starts flashing around 115-125 miles.

This is doing 26 miles each way to work every weekday. 13 miles of *70mph and 13 miles of start stop start stop through the city..

*70mph + 30mph Possibly, although I wouldn't admit this obviously as it may not be true???? Who knows?

Its not bad, not as good as the old ped, but its a damn sit more fun. PEd used to do 130-140 miles to £8, so paying another £4 for the extra fun is well worth it

no, I think most new cars here get better than 30mpg, starting to see hybrids that get upwards of 60,

BUT it seems like a lot of peeps are still hung up on the SUV status symbol, I hear it every day, "I need my 4wd cause of the snow & ice" thing is now days I don't think we have many competent drivers, I never had a problem getting around with good old fasion rear wheel drive,

Sod off when I was over there all I saw were Ford Mustangs (big engine), LOADS of 5.0+ V8's SUV's, loads of big engined cars.

It was only the real cheapo tatty cars that seemed to have small engines. Even BMW's are considered to be pretty poor economical wise over here.

I also considered the attention to driving FAR outweighs the attention span of people over here. Skill wise is a different matter, but I never had 1 problem with someone pulling out on me (2150 miles in 2 weeks) or 1 inncident to get angry at all.

Come over here, 10 minutes, someone will ahve cut you up or something to make you take action.

Since the day I bought my SV I've suspected it's previous owner had upped the gearing and, as reading everyone else's posts suggests I'm getting close to ten miles more than average from every gallon, my suspicion is now even stronger. If my speedo and rev-counter are accurate - and I've no reason to believe they arent - its geared to do 150mph when its hit the red-line in top gear! As my chain and sprockets are about due for replacement I'd be interested to know how this compares with bikes known to be on standard gearing.

I think around 100mph is about 8500rpm on mine?

That's why the US is one of the most polluting countries in the world (mind you, it's size is also going to have a bearing on that as well isn't it). But Bush won't sign the Kyoto agreement or do ANYTHING AT ALL towards reducing pollution and greenhouse gases. Selfish man

10,000 RPM = 131 MPH

Just couldnt get it to go that last 1000 revs ( despite it being a flat road )

engines might be bigger in the US... but more pollutants, no, your cars don't come close to meeting our emmissions requirements,
