hong. take the spacer out and check it in the fork to see if there is any play. if there is then phone nitron and ask WTF is going on.

you should not be having this hassle fitting a shock. out-in and that should be it.

If you refit your old shock does every thing have the correct clearances.
Is the distance between the lower U of the oe shock and the new the same ?

Took another look.

There is no play, daddyjob was right it was just the sleeve. It looks like a gap but it isnt.

However the threads are fuycked once again. I thought they were ok but when I took it all apart, the threading wire just fell apart.

Still the same though. Needs 2 washers bolt end otherwise it fouls.

So fack this, booked it into Steve Jordans for this Saturday, they can do it. I've had enough. 3 weeks off the bike, 4th to come. Took me approx 30s to get the old shock back on and torqued up, which is how it should be with the new one.

Just called Nitron who answered even though they are officially closed.

They were very nice and apologetic, and are going to send me another nut & bolt out free of charge, and arranging a call with me Wednesday to see if they can help over the phone.

In case anyone can confirm or whatever, these are the details of the bolts I have:

Total 66mm long
Bolt head is 6mm thick
13mm of thread
2 x 2mm washers

With ONE washer on the heat of the nut, it makes the external protrusion 8mm thick while there is 12mm of thread poking out the otherside which fouls the dog bone.

With TWO washers on the head end of the nut, it makes the external protrusion 10mm thick while there is 10mm of thread poking out the other side.

So you can see, the bolt doesnt seem like the right one, as you require 2 washers on the same side in order to get the same cleareance both sides, assuming all is central.

had a look at the parts fiche and the shocky bearing on the leaver is the same as the pointy so i would presume that the spacer and the fork is the same. if that's the case the bolt is the same so if it is then you need to special cut down one for the SV which nitron supply and know that there is a problem with so supply the cut down one. the bolt i was supplied was a shouldered one with no washer and a nut again with no washer. these fit perfect but have to be put in reverse from the others.

what torque are you tightening the nut to?

And if you did the old one back up to that speck and its fine .Its very unlikely to be the toque wrench gone wrong,More like the threads pitch is slightly wrong
