IMHO, I think you should give up with it, and break it for parts.
- Clearly nothing to do with me needing an engine.... ![]() |

Sorry, you need to fix it as cheap as possible and get some instruction, because your riding apparently isn't amazing. IIRC, you were approx 2 car lengths (8-9 metres) behind your old man doing 45mph (20 m/s) or less than 1/2 sec clearance. You're bloody lucky you didn't break your neck, and even luckier your dad didn't break it for you! We all f*** up, most people on this forum will have had some near misses this last year, and a fair few have crashed. Some, unfortunately didn't have your luck (see fallen friends). Last Sunday I c*cked up a corner, ran wide, and nearly hit a car, getting back to my side I nearly rear-ended the car in front of me. Don't blame the bike for your balls-up. Learn from your mistake. |

amazes me when people think going over at 5mph on a sheet of black ice is my fault.
and meaning boring as in not moded to my taste i dont like the looks of the bike in its standard form so wont get that attached to it un like the sv. And im completely aware of what the out come could have been. And when you dont know where your going and following the car in front you forget the most basic of things even more so when concentrating on tight twisty single lane roads and where in my post have i blamed the bike .... im annoyed and don't want any thing to do with it at the moment, doesn't mean i was saying it was the bikes fault im at fault and i know it, i dont need people to keep telling me ... |

You should keep it, its silly to spend all the money you have on it to sell it. Its yours and its unique.
Just keep a larger gap between you and other vehicles and dont go out in bad weather. |

Maybe proof-reading your posts would help, I think you may be giving false impressions of yourself and your attitudes, as you sometimes come across as petulant, spoiled and a bit stupid; whereas the work you put into that bike, and probably into other aspects of your riding judging by other posts shows a much better picture. Do consider further training, even a Bikesafe would help, you aren't skint so improve your bike (whatever you end up with) by improving the input unit. |
