Can I ask if Maxi have any sort of recompense for defective tyres??
From what I have heard out and about they are extremely reluctant when it comes to any claim against their product, probably due to the initial low cost.
Please do not take this as gospel but several tyre fitting services, who don't,or will not stock there products have mentioned this. Possibly only a sales ploy to get you to buy a brand which is more in the public image

A couple of years back I knew a number of gixer riders who had serious problems with the Pirelli tyres they had fitted. The tyres were shedding the treads. It took a fairly sustained campaign to persuade a reluctant Pirelli to take it seriously and do something about a potentially lethal defect in one of their product ranges. Sorry I can't be a little more specific - it happened a while ago and I can't fully recall all the details.

I guess what I'm saying is that many companies would rather not deal with stuff like this if they can possibly get away with not doing so.
