To change subject and stop the arguing can anyone think of a reason (apart from crap braking and bad road surface) that front brakes may lock up? Mine has twice in the last month when not even braking hard

You definitely write things with the sole purpose of provoking a reaction, trolling, and you have admitted to doing it. Don't do that unless it's a light hearted thread or somebody is yanking your chain. If you want to do it for amusement, go do it on Visordown and they'll think your a hero.

When you make a joke, think about whether that joke is going to be funny. I'll play devils advocate, and say that tonight's post in the ARTNW wasn't a troll posted to wind up Ed, but genuinely intended as a joke. On a sensitive night for Ed, when you knew you'd already upset him, you then tried to joke with him. How did you think he was going to take it?

Don't rephrase things people have said, then expect everyone to just agree with your version of it. You saying it that way doesn't make it true, and people are not stupid, they can read the original post and make up their own minds. Tonight you tried to ask why you were the only bad guy in the thread, because I had bricked a cat to death because I thought it was the right thing to do. Anyone reading my post can see that in stopping the car, tracking down the cat, crawling up the side of a garage in a business suit, and carrying the cat out (or actually it was more like half a cat), that my primary concern was for the welfare of the cat. Just because you rephrased it, that doesn't suddenly give you a "bad guy" to compare yourself to, and you fooled nobody.

Finally, don't argue every point that is made tooth and nail, using daft arguments and misquotes like the one above to back them up.

You'll notice that I backed you up in a recent thread on Petrol vs Diesel. People are pretty objective on here, and most won't give you any grief, and most will be happy to have a debate with you and treat you just the same as anyone else, if you are playing the game by the rules. If you don't play games by the rules, then you can expect to be disqualified from that game by your peers.

Ralph dude im not and never have been a troll lol id never even heard of it until you said it. My opinion does provoke reaction sometimes but thats only because in the few threads that have gone that way i have not held the mainstream view

the cat thing is well ott, i don't agree with what you did but wouldn't argue with you over it i don't think your a bad person for doing. i was more making the point that i was not the only person who said i wouldn't stop.

i didnt notice you had agreed with me in that thread, didnt review it to be honest but hey its a first eh? lol

Not a problem.

The cat literally had half it's rear end missing or ripped open, it was writhing in incredible pain, it was going to die more slowly from it's injuries, or possibly be in pain for another hour or so until a vet put it down with an injection. I stopped that pain in a instant with a single swift blow to the head, and I would do the same for any small animal. I wouldn't do it for a larger animal as I don't have the means to do it quickly, or the knowledge to do it without error.

I'm quite satisfied that I did the right thing given the circumstances and I'd do it again in an instant.

You are quite entitled to disagree, I wouldn't argue with you over it either.
