Why don't I have proper eyebrows?

Back on topic, I pluck my eye brows because I was lucky enough to inherit my Mothers gene for body hair! If I don't pluck my eye brows I end up with eye brow! A thick line of hair that goes across my face like a six lane motorway.

The worst part of it though is as I approach my forties, some of those eye brow hairs have started to grow extra long. Pulling out a hair that is over an inch long, feels like it is rooted into the middle of my body and requires a Landrover with a winch to get it out, hurts like hell! But ofcourse nature does not stop there, rogue nipple hair has started to sprout and were it not for careful trimming, the lady garden would look like the tangled regrowth that you get when bramble fills your hedge!

Being naturally dark haired is horrible, I cannot let my legs go unshaved for more than a few days because I look like a yeti. Thankfully HRT has sorted a lot of this out, but even so I still hate body hair. I don't want to get old, I don't want to spend hours each day pulling out grey tufts of ear hair or the awful thick black and wiry chin hair.

Fashion has been cruel and spiteful to women, telling us that we must be forever young, thin, hairless and made up with more face paint than a circus clown. So I have refused to wear make up for a while and being the age I am, short skirts are a serious no no anyway. My chest has shrunk and then dropped, my back side has gone wobbly and my feet have gone flat so no more dainty little heels.

Life sucks. I don't want to be forty next year. The only benefit is that my bike insurance is going down.

I was have a joke with bibio the other day about height, he said don't worry about it, from here I can see all your nostril hair! I said I was so glad he was not taller and could point out the strays on my top lip

Men only have to worry about, to shave or not to shave!

OMG Jayne, that made me laugh - we're definitely from the same gene pool!!

You know if you wax instead of shave hair it damages the follicles and inhibits growth.

Short skirts on women over 40 is quite acceptable if they still have good legs.
An ex work friend is 53 and wears shorts and looks very phaw
