You can never put a timescale onto a race engine if used on the road but id suggest regular oil changes with good quality oil along with a valve clearance check at every 4,000m. Rebuild wise, we work on race season timescales so a refresh once a season of 10 meetings and 10 test days..even then most dont need anything. If raced they will be worked alot harder than on the road so there is no reason why 10,000m cant be reached prior to a total strip down.
It is though hard to put a figure on producing and running one of these on the road. My original one did a whole season and lots of European events prior to being stripped down and even then it didnt need it. There are things we do that increase reliability and Steve wont produce one if the customer didnt want those "essentials" done.
