What ARE you doing to your SV this weekend?

changing carbs, fixing speedo rotor , sorting head bearing, selling the ****ing thing

Carbs eventually came off, restrictors out, and I've ridden the thing for 5 hours today

Not exactly the weekend, but I have managed to get a couple of weeks off because of a lack of work. My working year is nearly done.

Today I pulled the SV out of the shed and dusted it off, gave it an oil and filter change, kicked the tyres, reinstalled the battery and took it for a run. It hasn't been ridden much since March.
Tomorrow the old Beemer goes up on the hoist for a full service, swap the shocks out plus a long list of repairs (eg cracked subframe) after a fairly intense couple of months. There is probably two or three days work there. Hopefully the battered old girls replacement will arrive by the end of the week and I will be able to go over it and break it in some before putting it up on the hoist for a lot of modifications over the wet.

fitted heated grips and shorter dog bones....and enjoyed a good 200 mile blast to the coast

well i didnt do anything in the end

on friday I'll take it to spannerman if he's not busy, assessment of my shock linkage bearings and if i qualify for new ones.
